What Do Your Images Say About You and Your Personal Brand?
Have you thought about what your current images say about you and your personal brand.
The use of images is another form of communication, and some people understand better through the use of visuals, including your audience.
Think about your personal brand as the bigger picture, are the images you are putting out right now congruent with the real you and your messaging.
An example of the elements taken into consideration when telling a story through imagery
A simple headshot is great for your LinkedIn Profile and maybe your email signature, but when it comes to building an overall understanding of who you are, a library of images that demonstrate your authority, as well as your human side are integral for building your Personal Brand.
The images outside the business, such as something that shows your values, or your hobbies and interests will allow a personal connection to form with your audience. It’s something that brings out your human element.
When you opt for generic images such as on the laptop looking at the camera (I’ve done this before as well), it lacks character and is quite vanilla.
When I work with my clients I am trying to veer away from these generic images, and create something more interesting and authentic. Of course once in a while these images do sneak in.
I have a three step process to create images that are more interesting and more reflective of who you are as a person.
